Thalir ("we", "our", or "the app") is a smart farming application developed by Cinexis. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Thalir mobile application.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide:

Farmer name and farm name (during registration)
Crop and plot details (crop type, area, sowing dates)
Cost and income entries for profit tracking
Photos taken for crop disease detection
Questions asked to the AI crop advisor

Information collected automatically:

GPS location (only when you grant permission, used for weather forecasts and plot mapping)
Device information (operating system version, for app compatibility)

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide personalized crop advice through our AI assistant
To display accurate weather forecasts for your field locations
To analyze crop disease from photos you submit
To track your farming costs and calculate profit/loss
To generate crop schedules based on your sowing dates

3. Data Storage

All your farm data (plots, costs, profile) is stored locally on your device using secure on-device storage. We do not store your personal farm data on our servers.

When you use the AI advisor or disease detection features, your questions and photos are sent to our AI service provider (Anthropic) for processing. These are not stored permanently and are used only to generate responses.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your data is shared only with:

Anthropic (AI Provider): To process your farming questions and disease detection photos. Subject to their privacy policy.
Open-Meteo (Weather): Your GPS coordinates are sent to fetch weather data. No personal information is transmitted.

5. Camera & Photo Access

Thalir requests camera access solely for crop disease detection. Photos are:

Used only for analyzing plant health issues
Sent to the AI service for analysis
Not stored on any server permanently
Not shared with any other parties

6. Location Access

GPS location is used only to:

Provide accurate weather forecasts for your farm
Pin your plot location for weather tracking

Location data is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

7. Children's Privacy

Thalir is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect your information. All API communications use HTTPS encryption. Local data is stored in the app's secure storage area.

9. Your Rights

You can:

Delete all your data by uninstalling the app (data is stored locally)
Deny location or camera permissions at any time through device settings
Contact us to request information about any data we may hold

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated date on this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
